The lifetime incidence of neck pain according to The National Institute for Healthcare and Excellence, 2023 is 40-70% in the adult population with the highest prevalence being in the clerical, service and agricultural industries.
Neck pain can be very debilitating leading to pain travelling into the head, down the arms and into the upper back. It can also contribute to conditions such as tension type headaches or occipital neuralgia to name a few.
Jaw pain can contribute to head pain due to TMJ dysfunction.
